New gas condensate field discovered in Ustyurt region

A new gas condensate field has been discovered on the “Kushkair” square in the Ustyurt region, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz reports.

Depth of the exploration well number No.1 “Kushkair” is 3,550 meters. In the course of its testing, an industrial flow of natural gas was obtained with a preliminary flow rate of up to 200,000 cubic meters of gas per day.

“All work was carried out by specialists and employees of the JSC Uzbekneftegaz enterprises and organizations within the framework of the state program for development and reproduction of the mineral resource base on the JSC Uzbekneftegaz for 2017-2021 and the program for the expansion of geologic exploration on the Ustyurt oil and gas region in 2017-2019,” the press service said.
