Uzbekistan plans to export 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2019
Uzbekistan plans to export about 15 billion cubic meters of gas this year, chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz Bahodir Sidikov said.
“This year 15 billion cubic meters of gas has been contracted. In 2018, exports amounted to 13 billion cubic meters. This is the volume exported by Uztransgaz, there is gas from Lukoil, Uzbekneftegaz and other joint ventures,” said Sidikov.
Today, he said, Uzbekistan has the opportunity to export up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year to China, about 4 billion to the Russian Federation, and 2 billion to the southern regions of Kazakhstan.
“Basically, these are the three big directions that I have named. With the availability of resources, we have the opportunity to talk with our partners about increasing supplies,” the head of Uzbekneftegaz stated.
It should be noted that since last year, gas sales to neighboring countries, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, have also begun.
