State Statistics Committee announces the average salary of citizens
The State Statistics Committee shared data on the average monthly salary of citizens in January-June of the current year.
According to the Committee, in January-June 2019, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 2,092.6 thousand soums (including wage premiums, remuneration, incentive, compensation and overtime payments, as well as income tax withheld from individuals, deductions on social insurance and in the trade union fund) and increased by 30.1%, compared with the same period of 2018.
In the republic as a whole, in January-June 2019, compared to the same period last year, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in healthcare and the provision of social services increased by 37.2%, education – by 35.3%, banking, insurance, leasing and the credit-intermediary sphere – by 31.8%, industry – by 23.0%, construction – by 22.9%.
If the average nominal accrued wage by region is consider, the highest level was in Tashkent – 2,971.9 thousand soums (higher by 142% compared to the average republican level), the Navoi region – 2,659.5 thousand soums (127.1%) and the Tashkent region – 2,300.7 thousand soums (109.9%). On the contrary, low wage rates were recorded in the Samarkand region – 1,738.2 thousand soums (83.1%), the Surkhandarya region – 1,722.8 thousand soums (82.3%) and the Namangan region – 1720.0 thousand soums (82.2%).
