On July 24, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbaguly Berdimuhamedow, the presidential press service reported.
At the beginning of the conversation, Berdimuhamedow cordially congratulated the leader of our country on his birthday, wishing well-being and prosperity to all the multi-ethnic people of Uzbekistan.
The heads of state noted with deep satisfaction the consistent strengthening of strategic partnerships and multi-faceted cooperation between the parties.
An exchange of views took place on topical issues of bilateral agenda, international and regional policy was discussed
Thanking for the sincere congratulations, the President of Uzbekistan wished his colleague success in holding the first Caspian Economic Forum, which will be held in early August this year in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

Then, at the Turkmen Embassy in Moscow, rumors about the death of Berdimuhamedow were refuted.
“Rumors about the death of Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow are absolutely not true. They are an absolute hoax,” a spokesman for the Turkmen embassy in Moscow said.
