Three people were detained while trying to escape through the roof of a toilet from the departure area of the Incheon International Airport in Seoul, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.
According to the airport immigration department, a 34-year-old Russian, a 26-year-old Uzbek and a 25-year-old Kazakh citizens tried to enter the territory of the Republic of Korea, but they were not allowed into the country. Reportedly, three people pretended to be tourists and wanted to enter into Korea illegally in order to be employed. As a result, it was decided to send them back to their homeland.
The detainees were sent to a special room, from where they were planned to be deported. However, the trio decided to illegally enter the territory of South Korea, fleeing from the airport. They went to the toilet, opened the roof, broke the partition, and then through the ventilation shafts they began to go to the other wing of the airport building. As a result, the guard realized the runaway and organized a search.
All three were detained by the airport security, who had suspicions about the foreigners who suddenly appeared near the information desk. They were eventually handed over to immigration officers, who returned them to the detention center for the deportees.
