Uzbekistan attracts over 100 renowned influencers to World Influencers Congress

Uzbekistan is hosting the World Influencers Congress (WIC) on August 22-27, 2019. It is a unique platform that is designed to bring together top digital influencers from around the world to facilitate the exchange of ideas, techniques and best practices.

The event will incorporate various panels on innovative topics, business to influencer meetings, the WIC Awards and keynote speakers sharing their experiences and discussing major trends. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to experience the hospitality that has been traditional throughout the ages on the Great Silk Road.

Ultimately, one of the main goals of the congress is to create a Global Influencers Network, which will unite influencers and leading thinkers from around the world, and which will meet regularly in the world’s most unique destinations. The event will bring together the most popular opinion leaders, influencers, bloggers, content creators, and other famous media personalities of the Internet. 

Uzbekistan is preparing to accomplish the internet’s definition of “going viral”.

The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Development Tourism invited over 100 renowned influencers to WIC, 70 of which have already confirmed their intention to participate in the event.

The WIC exists as a platform where influencers from all over the world can meet, collaborate and share their visions and experiences, thereby shaping the face of modern content creation. This year, famous global influencers and thought leaders are going to deliver keynote speeches - sharing their success stories and techniques for increasing engagement with their followers in such internet platforms as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

B2I meetings are a designated stage for the WIC that brings together influencers and businesses to create opportunities for collaboration, while allowing both parties to learn more about each other and the mutual benefits of potential partnerships.

A Fam-tour to Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva will be organized after the official ceremony.

 “Holding this congress will significantly increase the brand awareness of the country, as well as the quality of content revealing the tourism potential in the global digital arena, which are significant problems associated with the country’s image. At the same time, one of the positive effects will be the “rejuvenation” of the tourist flow since the main target audience of influencers is young people aged 18 to 35 years. According UNWTO, the number of tourist visits, carried out by representatives of the ascending ACTH group will exceed 320 million until 2020, which undoubtedly is the highest rate among all age groups and is equal to 29% of the total number of travelers. Also, according to research conducted by Forbes magazine, more than 90% of the members of this age group are to choose the direction for travel expanses of studying social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and others,” Behruz Hamzaev, Strategy Advisor at Tourism Committee and author of WIC concept, said.

A potential result of the Congress will be achieving a simultaneous stream of digital content of Uzbekistan across various media platforms in order to attract maximum interest from the international community. According to preliminary research, the media content generated by the attending influencers is expected to flood social media and reach a market of up to 1 billion people.
