Volume of online conversion of money increases in Uzbekistan

Volume of online conversion of money has more than doubled in Uzbekistan, follows from the message of the Common Republican Processing Center.
In the II quarter, the number of such operations amounted to 458,480 units. This is 50% more compared to the previous quarter. The amount of conversions increased even more - by 62.1% to 1.7 million soums (in the first quarter it was 1 million soums).
Banks began launching online conversion in the spring of 2018.
It should be noted that the authorities of Uzbekistan promised to launch the sale of foreign currency in cash already in the autumn of 2017, however, it still hasn’t happened. Thus, online conversion remains one of the few ways to receive cash foreign currency.
