Tanzila Narbayeva becomes chairperson of the National Commission for combating human trafficking and forced labor
On August 3, 2019, the Senate of Oliy Majlis held a meeting of the National Commission for combating human trafficking and forced labor. It was chaired by Tanzila Narbayeva.
According to the parliamentary press service, the tasks of the National Commission for combating human trafficking and forced labor, which was established in accordance with the presidential decree of July 30, 2019 “On additional measures to further improve the system of combating human trafficking and forced labor”, some organizational issues related to ensuring effective implementation and activities of the National Commission were discussed.
During the meeting, the composition of subcommittees under the National Commission on combating human trafficking and forced labor was also considered.
It was also noted that the best practices of developed foreign countries in combating human trafficking and forced labor should be studied and applied in the national practice.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the observance of principles of openness and transparency in the activities of the National Commission, the development and maintenance of the National Commission’s official website.
Taking into account the views and suggestions made at the meeting, a relevant decision of the National Commission has been adopted, the report said.
