Deputy Defense Minister of Russia arrives in Uzbekistan

Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov arrived in Uzbekistan to support the Russian Armed Forces team at the “Military Medical Relay Race” contest to be held as part of the International Army Games-2019, RIA Novosti reported.

“The Deputy Defense Minister will take part in the opening ceremony of the competition. During the visit, he will meet with members of the Russian team, get acquainted with the conditions for the placement of athletes and the infrastructure of the Forish mountain range,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

It should be noted that for the first time this year Uzbekistan is hosting the “Military Medical Relay Race” within the framework of the International Army Games-2019. It will be attended by 11 states: Armenia, Angola, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Venezuela (as an observer).
