Abdulaziz Kamilov speaks about foreign policy initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at Turkish Ambassadors’ Conference
On August 5, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov took part as an honored guest at the 11th Turkish Ambassadors’ Conference in Ankara and delivered a speech, the MFA press service reports.
High-level guests including the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Foreign Minister of Jordan Ayman Safadi, UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jan Kubis, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salame and other senior officials were also invited to the conference.
In his speech, Abdulaziz Kamilov noted that his participation in such an event is a clear example of a high level of mutual trust and respect between the two countries.
As noted by the Minister, the visits of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Uzbekistan opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations, which today have reached the level of strategic partnership.
Delivering a speech, Abdulaziz Kamilov touched upon security issues on a regional and global level, explained foreign policy initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in the region.
