Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates Governor-General of Jamaica on Independence Day

On August 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the Governor-General of Jamaica, Sir Patrick Linton Allen, on Independence Day, the presidential press service reported.

Independence is a public holiday in Jamaica observed on August 6. If August 6 falls on a Sunday, Independence Day will be observed as a public holiday on Monday August 7.

This holiday is the National Day of Jamaica and celebrates independence from the United Kingdom on this day in 1962.
