CA, US foreign ministers to hold C5+1 talks in Nur-Sultan
On August 21, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, will take part in a high-level meeting in the C5 + 1 format, which will be held in Nur-Sultan.
Reportedly, the ministers of foreign affairs agencies of the five Central Asian countries and the United States will discuss promising areas of cooperation within the framework of C5+1.
It should be recalled that in November 2015, the foreign ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with the US Secretary of State published a joint declaration on partnership and cooperation, known as the Samarkand Declaration. This document approved the C5+1 format.
It includes thematic working groups on issues of regional economy and trade, protection of environment and renewable energy sources, as well as threats to the regional security.
