MoU on mutual exemption of diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements comes into force between Uzbekistand and the UAE
On August 23, 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, on mutual exemption of diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements, came into force. The document was signed on March 25, 2019, during an official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE.
According to the MFA, the document regulates granting the right of entry, exit, transit and stay in the territory of another state without a visa for up to 90 days for Uzbek and Emirati diplomatic passport holders.
Taking into account the intensification of bilateral cooperation with the UAE, the Memorandum will help to resolve organizational issues quickly during visits of the officials – diplomatic passport holders, of the two countries.
