Safety of Shavkat Mirziyoyev is entrusted to PSS
On August 23, senators considered the law "On amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of legislation in the field of security and defense."
According to the law, from now onwards, the Presidential Security Service (PSS) will be responsible for the safety of the president, members of his family, and also heads of foreign states during their visits to the republic.
Previously, the President of Uzbekistan was guarded by employees of the State Security Service.
In addition, the PSS will ensure the safety of permanent and temporary residence facilities, as well as the routes of movement of protected persons.
