JSC “Angor paxta tozalash” director, who misappropriated about 2.5 billion soums of state funds, sentenced
On August 9, 2019, the Sherabad district court on criminal proceedings sentenced the director of the JSC “Angor paxta tozalash” (district cotton ginnery).
The criminal case, chaired by the judge Z. Narziyev, was investigated against the accused T. Kh. under Articles 167 (part 3, paragraphs a, b – theft by embezzlement or misappropriation) and 209 (part 2 – job forgery).
It was revealed that the defendant during his work period at the JSC “Angor paxta tozalash” as a Director General, falsified several documents and submitted them to the bank. On the basis of the submitted papers, he was able to transfer 2,406,863,000 soums to the farm account for 1,894.4 tons of raw cotton materials. He was accused of abuse of power and embezzlement of state funds.
The former director was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3, Paragraph “a” of Article 167 and Part 1 of Article 209.
The court deprived him of the right to occupy managerial posts for a period of 1 year;
He will be attracted to public works with a 30% of wage deduction for the state revenue during 2 years and 6 months.
The court took into account the fact that the damage was fully recovered. The parties were explained how to appeal against the verdict.
