Newly appointed Ambassador of UK hands over credentials to Abdulaziz Kamilov

On August 28, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Timothy Torlot, the MFA press service said.

According to the report, during the meeting, the ambassador handed over copies of credentials.

The parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and priority directions for their further development.

The sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic nature of mutual contacts and the productive results of Uzbekistan government delegation’s visit to London on July 9-12.

The mutual interest of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in realizing the existing significant potential on expanding cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other fields was confirmed.
