Batir Zakirov becomes Minister of Construction

Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis approved on Thursday Batir Zakirov's candidacy to the post of Construction Minister of Uzbekistan, the press service of the lower house of parliament said.

It should be noted that Zakirov has been serving as the First Deputy Minister of Construction since April 2018.

Abdukahhor Tukhtayev, who worked as the Minister of Construction, was appointed khokim of the Shaikhantakhur district of Tashkent in May this year.

Batir Zakirov was born in Tashkent in 1963. He graduated from Tashkent Polytechnic Institute (now - TSTU).

From 2011 to 2018, he was Deputy Prime Minister, head of the State Committee for Architecture and Construction.
