MPE speaks about three acceptable types of school uniforms
The Ministry of Public Education (MPE) of Uzbekistan made recommendations on school uniforms.
The reason for the appeal to parents is “numerous disputes and disagreements in various social networks” that arose on the eve of the new academic year.
The MPE recalled that the government has determined the procedure according to which the provision of compulsory school uniform for secondary public schools will start from the academic year 2024/2025.
Although the compulsory introduction of school uniform is delayed for a certain period of time, it remains in effect from the beginning of the academic year 2018/2019.
Based on the studies carried out, the Ministry recommends the following outfits:
- for boys and girls – white top (dress shirt), black bottom wear (trousers and skirt of a classic style);
- uniform introduced by a secondary public school earlier;
- sample uniform regulated by a government decree of August 15, 2018.
“At the same time, we want to remind you that organization by the secondary public school management of work on a centralized sale of school uniforms is strictly prohibited,” the MPE added.
