Poll: Who should lead the Uzbekistan national team in the next game?
Tribuna.uz conducted a survey among Telegram channel subscribers after the Uzbekistan national team was defeated by Palestine in the 2022 World Cup second round Asian qualifiers.
More than 186,000 fan-subscribers participated in the survey and answered the question who should lead the national team in the next game.
Following the results, 27% of the 32,000 people voted (over 8,500) believe that current coach Héctor Cúper should remain in the national team management. And 25% of respondents (more than 8,000) said that they want the head coach of Bunyodkor Vadim Abramov to return to the national team.
24% of the poll participants (about 8,000) said they prefer to bring in another coach from abroad. 8% (over 2,700 people) of those who were asked for opinion believe that the national team should be led by Mirjalol Kasimov, 8% (over 2,700) said Ruzikul Berdiev is the right candidate and 5% (over 1,500 people) want to see Shota Arveladze as the head coach of the national team.
Another 3% (over 1,000 people) of the respondents think that Andrey Kanchelskis, who returned to the FC Navbakhor, should be the head coach.
It should be noted that within the framework of the World Cup qualifier matches, the Uzbekistan national team will play against Yemen on 10 October in Tashkent. Prior to that, on September 9, a friendly match against Iraq is scheduled.
