Abdulaziz Kamilov awarded with Azerbaijani jubilee medal

On September 24, Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Huseyn Guliev. During the meeting, Guliev awarded Abdulaziz Kamilov with the medal “100th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1919-2019)”. 

Guliev thanked the leadership of Uzbekistan for the manifestation of friendly and fraternal relations with Azerbaijan, clearly supporting Azerbaijan’s position on resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of international law and historical justice. The Ambassador also noted that at the present stage these relations are based on mutual trust and support of the peoples of our countries and heads of states and are characterized as strategic partnership relations.

Abdulaziz Kamilov, in turn, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Azerbaijan for the award.

During the talks, Kamilov noted that in recent years Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations have been developing in all spheres, and implementation of many projects in the economic sphere has already begun.
