Abdulaziz Kamilov receives newly appointed Ambassador of Bahrain
On October 3, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain with residence in Ankara, Ibrahim Yusuf Abdullah.
According to the MFA press service, after the ceremony of presenting credentials, the minister discussed with the ambassador the issues of strengthening Uzbek-Bahraini relations both bilaterally and within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international structures.
The parties expressed interest in holding the next round of inter-MFA political consultations, activating mechanisms to build up trade, economic and investment ties, and establishing cooperation between research institutions of the two countries.
Improving the legal base of comprehensive cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bahrain was also considered at the meeting.
