Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon discuss expanding bilateral cooperation

On October 11, as part of his visit to Ashgabat, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
According to the presidential press service, heads of states noted with deep satisfaction the current level of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
The parties discussed topical issues of expanding bilateral practical cooperation, primarily in trade, industrial cooperation, energy and transport sectors, in the field of cultural-humanitarian exchange and other priority areas.

The leaders of the two countries reviewed the schedule of upcoming summits, and also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda.
