Statistics Committee: 72,400 new small enterprises and micro-firms were opened in January-September 2019
In January-September 2019, 72,400 new small enterprises and micro-firms were created (without dekhkans and farms), which is 1.9 times more than the same period in 2018. The largest number of small enterprises and micro-firms were created in the field of trade (38.6%), industry (21.8%), construction (10.0%), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (7.5%), housing and food (7.5%), transportation and storage (3.3%), State Statistics Committee reports.
In the regional context, the largest indicator of the number of newly created small enterprises and micro-firms was shown by the city of Tashkent – 14485 units (or 20%), Tashkent region – 7124 units (9.8%), Samarkand region – 6166 units. (8.5%). In the Fergana region, this indicator reached 5747 units, Bukhara – 5097 units, Navoi – 5092 units, Andijan, Namangan, Kashkadarya, Khorezm, Surkhandarya and Jizzakh regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, this indicator is noted at an average level in the range of 4546-2993 units. This indicator at a low level was recorded in the Syrdarya region – 2031 units.
In the context of cities and regions for the indicated period, the largest increase in newly created small enterprises and micro-firms was registered in the capital’s Uchtepa district – 1902 units, in the city of Samarkand – 1881 units and the Chilanzar district of Tashkent – 1811 units. In the Yunusabad district, this indicator reached 1701 units, Almazar district – 1699 units, in the city of Bukhara – 1532 units, in the capital’s Mirzo-Ulugbek district, this indicator amounted to 1525 units.
The largest volume of industrial production falls on the city of Tashkent (26174.7 billion soums), Tashkent (10533.4 billion soums), Samarkand (6368.3 billion soums), Fergana (6132.4 billion soums) and Andijan (5563.0 billion soums) regions. In the Surkhandarya region, the volume of industrial production remains low (1476.3 billion soums).
In the regional context, the largest volume of services was again noted in the city of Tashkent (21427.1 billion soums), Tashkent (6858.4 billion soums), Samarkand (6226.1 billion soums), Fergana (5750.3 billion soums) and Andijan (4830.1 billion soums) regions.
