Uzbekistan to develop standard scenarios and rules for weddings
Deputy Minister of Culture Kamola Akilova suggested developing standard scenarios for weddings and celebrations.
According to a number of media reports, the deputy minister said that the department for development of concert and entertainment facilities under the Culture Ministry and the Uzbek Concert had already begun work on developing rules for weddings.
“In my opinion, it is necessary to develop standard scenarios for weddings and celebrations. It is necessary to specify exactly how to start and conduct a wedding. What is the main problem? Firstly, to preserve history and national values. Secondly, to keep up with the present. What should be emphasized when inviting artists? For example, the president suggested that makoms are sung at weddings. At the same time, it is necessary to attract scientists and conduct research on the tradition of weddings, to show how beautiful weddings can be held,” Kamola Akilova said.
It should be recalled that on September 14, 2019, Councils of the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis at a joint meeting approved the Regulation on procedure for wedding, family, anniversary celebrations, family funeral ceremonies and events.
