Recently, a press conference was held at the CEC International Press Center with participation of representatives from political parties and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations.
During the event, the Deputy Minister of Labor Erkin Mukhiddinov said that next year in Uzbekistan, the unemployment allowance will more than double.
“In 2020, the unemployment allowance will increase and amount to 632,000 soums per month,” he said.
It should be recalled that in April of this year, the former Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Sherzod Kudbiyev said that Uzbekistan would increase unemployment allowance, equating it to the minimum monthly wage (MMW).
“We will radically increase the amount of monthly allowances. We will call this indicator a base calculating amount (BCA). In order to make economic leverage start working, we need to increase unemployment allowance,” Kudbiyev said then.
