Survey: More and more people in Uzbekistan want to work as a teacher
The U-Report project conducted a survey on the role of teachers in society, in which more than 4.5 thousand respondents took part.
According to the Ministry of Public Education, around 59% of respondents said that they would like to choose a teaching profession in the future.
At the same time, 21% of them expressed a desire to work in public schools, 8% in private schools and 7% in private training centers.
These results show an increase in the status of teachers in society and the attractiveness of the teaching profession.
When asked why they would like to become a teacher, 10% of respondents noted the increase in salaries of educators, 8% - an increase in the status of teachers in society. Another 34% of respondents said that they like to work with children.
Assessing the status of teachers in society, 10% of respondents rated it as “excellent”, 28% - “good” and 45% - “satisfactory”. About 16% of respondents rated the status of a teacher in society as “low”.
