Uzbekistan to import electricity from Turkmenistan
An agreement has been reached with Turkmenenergo. Starting from December 1, positive changes in the energy supply are expected, UzA reports.
It is noted that the agreement, reached between “O'zbekiston milliy elektr tarmoqlari” JSC and the Turkmenenergo (state-owned electricity corporation of Turkmenistan) on the import of electricity in 2019-2020, will eliminate the electricity shortage and ensure uninterrupted supply to consumers in our country.
The “O'zbekiston milliy elektr tarmoqlari” JSC reported that starting from December 1, positive changes will occur in the provision of electric power to the republic, and there will be significantly less power outages, the report said.
