Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov to pay an official visit to Tashkent

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay an official visit to the capital of Uzbekistan in January. This became known during the event dedicated to the opening of the MGIMO branch in Tashkent, Sputnik Uzbekistan correspondent reports.

“Indeed, this visit is on our agenda, and it will be sometime in mid-January next year. The Russian Foreign Minister will visit the MGIMO branch and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, where he will deliver a short lecture,” Abdulaziz Kamilov said.

It should be recalled that recently, a ceremony was held to mark the opening of the MGIMO branch in Tashkent.

The event was attended by Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, rectors of UWED and MGIMO as well as Russian and Uzbek diplomats and businessmen.
