A number of powers of khokimiyats to be transferred to relevant government bodies from January 1
From January 1, 2020, certain functions and powers of local executive bodies will be transferred to the territorial divisions of the relevant government bodies, the presidential decree says.
In addition, from January 1, 2020, a number of functions and powers of local executive authorities are terminated. These include:
- coordination of technological, forestry, agrotechnical, hydrotechnical, sanitary-technical measures;
- making decisions on limiting, suspending and terminating activities related to violations of the terms and conditions stipulated by the conclusion of the state environmental review on emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by stationary sources of air pollution;
- making decisions on limiting, suspending and terminating the activities of organizations in cases of damage to the state of forests;
- making decisions on the suspension of market activity.
