Partial collapse occurs in an open section of a construction site in the Yunusabad metro line. There might be victims

According to unconfirmed reports, an emergency occurred (partial collapse) in an open section of a construction site in the Yunusabad metro line.

Kun.uz correspondent talked to Deputy Interior Minister, the head of the Investigation Department Doniyor Tashkhodjaev about the incident.

“According to preliminary information, a tunnel was being constructed in the Yunusabad district near Megaplanet. In order to prevent rain from falling into the tunnel, a special concrete lane was built. Due to heavy rain, the earth became soft and the soil fell off. There is no specific information about victims,” Tashkhodjaev said.

Investigation is currently underway in the area.

So far, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has not provided any official information.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov is expected to arrive at the scene.
