Uzbekistan enters the list of top countries subjected to cyber attacks
Kaspersky Lab specialists included Uzbekistan in the list of countries where users’ computers were most at risk of “local infection”, follows from the company’s annual report, Spot writes.
Bank malware
In order to evaluate and compare the risk of banking malware infection, which is exposed to users’ computers in different countries of the world, the company calculated in each country the proportion of users of Kaspersky Lab products, who encountered this threat during the reporting period from all users of products in the country. Uzbekistan ranked 7th in the list (the table provided in Russian):
Malicious ransomware
During the reporting period, ransomware Trojans attacked 755,485 unique users, including 209,679 corporate users (net of SMB) and 22,440 users associated with small and medium-sized businesses. Uzbekistan occupied the second place here (the table provided in Russian):
