“Milliy tiklanish” party chairman not elected in first round

Chairman of the “Milliy tiklanish” Democratic Party Alisher Kadirov at a CEC press conference announced that he won the elections on December 22 with an overwhelming majority of votes.
“Yes, I have been elected as a deputy. I got about 70% of the vote according to the data received at 00:30. But the results are not yet fully calculated. I can confidently say that I got into parliament,” he said in an interview with sof.uz.
However, he was not elected in the election because he could not get enough votes. This can be seen from the CEC election results.
All the elections were held in 150 constituencies, the elections in 128 of them were declared valid and the deputies were elected. In 22 constituencies, the elections will be held again due to the fact that the candidates did not get enough votes.
The largest number of electoral constituencies, where the elections did not take place in the first round, are located in the Jizzakh region (5), here the winner was determined only in one district – this is a candidate from the People’s Democratic Party. Alisher Kadirov was nominated from the 36th “Pakhtakor” constituency of the Jizzakh region. Now in two weeks he will again compete for the deputy mandate.
In turn, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Aktam Khayitov, the leader of the People’s Democratic Party Ulugbek Inoyatov, the leader of the Ecological Party Boriy Alikhanov and the leader of the “Adolat” Social Democratic Party Nariman Umarov were elected as deputies in their constituencies.
UPD: according to Alisher Kadirov’s statement for Kun.uz editorial office, it was about the results as of 00:30 at night. He scored a very small number of votes in two districts (the result was influenced by the fact that he did not visit these areas during the election campaign), as a result, the number of votes for him fell from 70% to 31%.
