Uzbekistan to develop a bill on migrants

In Uzbekistan, a bill on labor migration will be developed and submitted to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis in 2020.
It is noted that the bill provides for the followings:
- incentive standards aimed at preventing the use of informal labor migration based on the requirements of the market economy;
- simplified procedure for concluding and terminating agreements with foreign states and authorized organizations in accordance with the specifics of work, rules reflecting the interests of citizens;
- implementation of the ILO recommendations and norms, directly regulating labor migration relations.
Responsible executors are the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Committee, the relevant ministries and departments. The deadline for submitting the bill to the Cabinet of Ministers is August 30, 2020, and the approximate deadline for submitting it to the Legislative Chamber - September 30, 2020.
