Fines, fees and duties not to increase from February 1
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to ensure the implementation of the law “On the state budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020”.
According to the document, starting from February 1, the base calculating amount (223,000 soums) will remain unchanged. At the same time, the salary of employees of budgetary institutions and organizations, pensions, stipends, allowances, as well as material assistance to low-income families will rise by 1.07 times.
It should be recalled that on September 1, 2019, in Uzbekistan, instead of the minimum monthly wage (MMW), the base calculating amount (BCA) and the base pension calculating amount (BPCA) were introduced.
The base calculating amount is used to determine:
- the amount of taxes, fees, fines, state duties and other payments for public services rendered;
- the cost of a patent, license and other payments for a certain type of entrepreneurial activity, the size of the authorized and other funds (capital) of organizations, the value of non-monetary shares, other securities, the book value of assets of legal entities, the maximum size of microloans and leasing, as well other financial-economic indicators.
Previously, administrative fines and other payments were interconnected with the minimum monthly wage. Fines, duties and other payments automatically increased with an increase in salaries.
