Changes to be made to the driver retraining process

A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on introducing amendments to some decisions of the government has been published on the portal for discussing draft normative-legal acts.

The second paragraph of item 3 of the CM resolution No. 139 “On measures to improve the system of training, retraining and advanced training of drivers of motor vehicles” dated February 23, 2018 is proposed to be stated as follows:

“Drivers of vehicles of legal entities, including drivers engaged in passenger or freight transportation, with the exception of individual entrepreneurs and other individuals operating vehicles on the basis of short-term rental and leasing – once every two years;”.

The current disposition of this paragraph is as follows:

persons driving vehicles owned by legal entities, with the exception of individual entrepreneurs and other individuals driving vehicles on the basis of short-term rental and leasing – once every two years.

Paragraph 6 of Appendix No. 5 to the CM Resolution No. 408 “On measures to further improve the licensing of non-governmental educational services in the field of training, retraining and advanced training of drivers of motor vehicles and urban electric vehicles” is proposed to be ammended as follows:

“6. All legal entities, irrespective of their form of ownership, must refer drivers of their own vehicles, including those involved in passenger or freight transportation, to continuing education courses and ensure their participation in them;”.

The current disposition of this paragraph is as follows:

All legal entities, regardless of ownership, refer their drivers of motor vehicles and urban electric vehicles to continuing education courses and ensure their participation in them.
