Labor migrants to be provided with 3,662 apartments in 2020

In 2020, it is planned to allocate 3,662 apartments in multi-storey buildings for labor migrants, who are in need of better housing conditions.
According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, this will be carried out in accordance with the Decree of the President “On measures to further strengthen guarantees for the protection of citizens of Uzbekistan, engaged in temporary labor activities abroad”.
The ministry announced a list by region:
1. The Republic of Karakalpakstan – 210 apartments
2. Andijan region – 420 apartments
3. Bukhara region – 240 apartments
4. Jizzakh region – 120 apartments
5. Kashkadarya region – 300 apartments
6. Navoi region – 60 apartments
7. Namangan region – 300 apartments
8. Samarkand region – 450 apartments
9. Surkhandarya region – 270 apartments
10. Syrdarya region – 90 apartments
11. Tashkent region – 180 apartments
12. Fergana region – 420 apartments
13. Khorezm region – 240 apartments
14. Tashkent city – 162 apartments
Total: 3462.
Earlier, a draft procedure was announced for the selection of migrant workers, who are in need of housing.
