Types of taxes reduced 

At the XXV plenary session of the Senate, senators approved the law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The Law was signed by the President and entered into force.

According to the chairman of the Senate Committee for Budget and Economic Reforms Muhammad Jumagaldiyev, the new version of the document envisages the division of Tax Code into general (tax administration) and special (main rules for calculating and paying taxes) parts, while preserving the existing Tax Code structure.

In accordance with the amendments to the Tax Code, tax types were reduced from 13 to 9.
