Uzbekistan to develop a program to supply remote areas with electricity
Uzbekistan will develop a program for supply of electricity to remote regions, the press service of the Energy Ministry reports.
According to the ministry, 33 potential districts of the republic were determined for the development of programs for autonomous energy supply (electric, thermal and biogas) in the spring and autumn.
In addition, the country is developing a program to install solar photovoltaic power plants to 150 thousand private households during the period between 2021 and 2023.
It is noted that the implementation of these projects may be supported by the World Bank.
