A man in Namangan detained for attempting to sell 1 million USD banknote
The fraudster planned to sell a banknote of 1 million US dollars for $10,000.
As the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported, in the Uychi district of Namangan region, the man promised a local resident to get a loan from a foreign bank and wanted to sell him a 1 million US dollar banknote for $10,000. He was detained by law enforcement officers while selling the banknote.
One of the banks reported that the 1 million US dollar banknote is a souvenir and has no value.
A criminal case was instituted against the detainee under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
