Petrol prices may be lowered in Uzbekistan
It is expected that petrol prices in Uzbekistan will be reduced. Several Kun.uz sources confirmed this information.
It is still unknown how much the price will be reduced. One of the sources said that a decrease of 300 soums is expected, but this is not yet accurate. “It depends on the outcome of exchange trading,” the source said.
For information, in January-February 2020, the volume of gasoline production in the republic increased significantly compared to the same period in 2019: 151.6 thousand tons were produced in 2019, and in 2020 – 190.3 thousand tons.
There was also an increase in diesel fuel production: in the first two months of 2019, 169.8 thousand tons of diesel fuel was produced, and in 2020 this figure amounted to 195.9 thousand tons.
Since March 1, Uzbekneftegaz has reduced diesel prices at its gas stations from 7,500 to 7,300 soums.
