The ministerial press secretary Avazbek Khodjimetov said that a note has been sent to the Russian government asking to temporarily delay the payment for labor patents during the quarantine period.

“In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia, activities of all organizations have been suspended until April 30. As a result, our compatriots in Russia are temporarily unemployed, and this situation also affects their income.

Therefore, the Uzbek MFA sent an official note to the Russian side asking to postpone the payment of labor patents until the end of the non-working period and the recovery of the labor market. During this period of time labor migrants should not be held administratively liable.

At present, this issue is being considered by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted Avazbek Khodjimetov as saying.
