Due to the quarantine, 80% of individual entrepreneurs suspended their activities, the press service of the State Tax Committee (STC) reported.

For the quarantine period, the collection of a fixed amount of tax on personal income and social tax for individual entrepreneurs has been suspended. Individual entrepreneurs should only notify the state tax service of the temporary suspension of activity. This can be done remotely through the portal my.soliq.uz.

“In April 2020, 2,400 taxpayers have already used this service: 1,283 notifications were sent from individual entrepreneurs in Samarkand region, 542 – from Tashkent, 125 – from Tashkent region, 89 – from Syrdarya region, 80 – from Kashkadarya region,” the press service said.

In total, out of the 247,286 registered, 198,969 individual entrepreneurs (IPs) suspended their activities in the republic.

The STC recommends that all IPs conduct a procedure for suspension of business activities remotely, without visiting tax authorities or state services centers.

It should be recalled that according to the Special Republican Commission, restrictive measures (quarantine) in Uzbekistan were extended until May 10, 2020.
