Average monthly salary in Uzbekistan announced
In January-March 2020, the average monthly nominal wage of employees of enterprises and organizations with the status of a legal entity in Uzbekistan amounted to 2.5 million soums, it increased by 26.5% in comparison to the corresponding period of 2019.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the average monthly nominal wage includes bonuses, incentives, compensation and overtime payments, as well as personal income tax and trade union payments.
The average monthly nominal wage in the country was significantly lower than the national average in health and social services by 29.9%, accommodation and food services – by 27.7%, education – by 19.1%. At the same time, banking, insurance, leasing, credit and intermediation activities were significantly higher than the national average by 111.5%, information and communication – by 61.5%.
In all types of economic activity, an increase in the average monthly nominal wage compared to the corresponding period of 2019 was observed. In particular, there was a significant increase in banking, insurance, leasing and credit intermediation (46.7%), housing and catering services (32.6%), construction (32.2%).
In a number of regions throughout the country, high average nominal monthly wages were observed in the field of education. The city of Tashkent (138.4%), Syrdarya region (101.9%), Navoi (100.5%) and Tashkent (100.1%) regions have significantly higher monthly nominal wage than the average in the country.
At the same time, it was observed that in 10 regions, the average monthly nominal wage in this area is lower than the national average. Surkhandarya (95.2%), Fergana (92.0%), Khorezm (91.9%) and Kashkadarya (87.4%) regions have significantly lower monthly wage than the average in the republic.
