Coronavirus cases reach 2,314 in Uzbekistan
According to the Ministry of Health, 16 more people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, bringing the total number to 2,314.
“As of 10:00, May 8, the total number of coronavirus infection cases in the country stands at 2,314,” the ministry said in a statement.
So far, 1,656 patients have fully recovered from the disease, 10 people died.
It was previously reported that starting from May 8 districts and cities will be classified as “red”, “yellow” and “green” – depending on the epidemiological situation there.
Regions classified as “red”: Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, Samarkand, Bukhara, Syrdarya and Tashkent region.
Regions classified as “yellow”: Surkhandarya, Khorezm and the city of Tashkent.
Regions classified as “green”: Navoi, Jizzakh and Kashkadarya.
In the regions classified as “green”, movement of vehicles without a special sticker is allowed. In the “red” and “yellow” areas, it is permitted only at certain times of the day – from 07:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.
