Fergana becomes coronavirus-free zone

“The only remaining patient with coronavirus infection in the Fergana region has recovered and is undergoing rehabilitation.

The man (a 40-year-old) was from the Oltiariq district of the region, who contracted the disease from citizens infected with the coronavirus. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated doctors in the region, all 157 patients with coronavirus infection have fully recovered,” the press service of the Ministry of Health said.

Currently, the number of people who have fully recovered from the disease across the country is 2,110.

Earlier, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya and Navoi regions also became coronavirus-free. But on May 9, coronavirus was detected again in Navoi, with 15 patients currently undergoing treatment in the region.
