Coronavirus cases reach 3,115 in Uzbekistan
According to the Ministry of Health, 26 more people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan, bringing the total number of cases to 3,115.
“As of 22:30, May 23, the number of coronavirus infection cases in the country stands at 3,115,” the ministry said in a statement.
Of the confirmed new cases, 25 were identified in citizens who were placed in quarantine facilities (22 came from abroad, 3 got infected by being in contact with coronavirus patients) and 1 in a long-distance truck driver, who entered the country through Kazakhstan.
So far, 2,532 citizens have fully recovered from the coronavirus infection, 13 people died.
Currently, 544 patients are undergoing treatment at medical facilities.
