The Ministry of Health is concerned about the epidemiological situation in the Navoi region.
According to the press service of the ministry, 66 cases of infection are recorded in the region.
“All patients were infected within the country, there are no citizens who came from abroad among them. According to statistics, the Navoi region has the lowest recovery indicators in Uzbekistan – the recovery rate here barely reaches 3 percent, while in the republic this figure exceeds 81 percent,” the Ministry of Health noted.
The ministry emphasized that due to non-compliance with quarantine requirements in the region, the number of coronavirus cases has sharply increased over the past two weeks. In particular, on May 20, 17 new cases of infection were registered, on May 21 – 5 and on May 22 – another 15. The epicenter of the disease in the region is the city of Zarafshan.
The Ministry of Health has urged people to comply with all quarantine requirements.
