Tashkent ranked among cheapest cities for expats to live in
According to a study conducted by Mercer, Tashkent is one of the cheapest cities for expats to live in.

The capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, is the second most expensive city, preceded by Hong Kong, for expats to live in, surpassing Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai. A year ago, Ashgabat was ranked 7th in this Cost of Living Survey ranking.
Tashkent, in the meantime, is again one of the cheapest cities for expats. The capital of Uzbekistan ranks 206th out of 209 cities in the ranking (208th in 2019).
In addition to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore, New York, Shanghai, Bern, Geneva and Beijing are among the top ten most expensive cities for expats.
Islamabad, Lusaka, Skopje, Tbilisi, Banjul, Karachi, Tashkent, Bishkek and Namibia are among the TOP-10 cheapest cities for expatriates.
