Young mother tried to sell her child for 3 million soums in Navoi. A criminal charge has been filed.

According to the press service of the Investigation Department, on the afternoon of June 3, near the mosque “Navoi” located in the Navoi city, internal affairs officers detained the woman when she was receiving 3 million soums from another citizen.

It turns out that a 22-year-old woman from the Samarkand region tried to sell her 23-day-old baby. She made a deal with a 35-year-old woman.

On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department instituted criminal proceedings under Article 135-3 (human trafficking) of the Criminal Code. A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
