Government official in Chilanzar district detained while taking $50 thousand in bribe
A head of department at the Chilanzar district khokimiyat of Tashkent has been detained while taking $50,000 in bribe. He was supposed to transfer a land ownership right to an entrepreneur.

Law enforcement sources told Kun.uz that the representative of the municipality asked the businessman for $1.4 million in exchange for formalizing the right to ownership of 1 hectare of land.
Reportedly, the civil servant was arrested on June 25 during an event held by the SSS.
It should be noted that a criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 210 (“Taking bribes”) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
There is no official report yet on this case.
